Delfen gives the party an "Orb of Communication" to allow them to communicate with him if needs be but it will only last a short time before it needs to be recharged. Stay at Liam's Hold and meet Malastar the Hunter. Malastar agrees to show the party the way for 10gp, it's a 5 day journey from Liam's Hold. Scaramon rolls a "1" to do some bardic story telling, it's a disaster! he puts it down to a lack of practice
Uktar 30, 1371 Over cast with light showers. Calm. Arrive at Southern Campsite - A "Thousandheads Trading Coster" caravan is staying there and the caravan master, Pharatar invites the party to break bread with him - The caravan's Seer, an old woman, reads Scaramon's palm and tells him that he will have a fight with the "darkness" and that he and his friends must beware. Therrion is highly sceptical - she has also predicted snow is only a few days away, or so Pharatar tells you.

South Easterly winds force 2 The Party arrive at The Way Inn, it is packed with two caravans - Despite the storm the festival where the dead are remembered goes on indoors - Scaramon rolls a "2" to do some bardic story telling, he is ushered offstage by another Bard eager to save the audience!

Nightal 3, 1371 Overcast and Cold with Northerly winds force 2 Enter the Misty Forest and make camp - Malastar says that he will show the party the trail to the ruins tomorrow but come back here and wait with the horses. He is prepared to wait 2 days only and if they do not return he will leave their horses at The Way Inn - 3 wood elves, (Meneldur, Runarin and Fingalthor), approach the party and view them with initial suspicion asking them questions, when satisfied they tell them that the forest creatures had alerted them that some nearby ancient ruins may be being used - They found the 8/9 day old trail of 3 horses and riders coming from the ruins - They won't go near the ruins as they are "shunned" by forest creatures and looks like it is empty now
Nightal 4, 1371 Steady Snow. Northerly breeze force 1 follow the trail to the ruins, and you confirm the tracks that the wood elves saw. There is a Hill in set into the hill a huge outcrop of granite, this is actually a well disguised tower and the main door opens when the "tear" is placed on it. There was a stable for 4 horses in the ground level 3 recently used. The second level had murder holes and a portcullis for the entry room. The third level was a sort of barrack room this a door at the back. This door lead up the hillside to another door, or the ruins proper. The fourth level of the tower has a door and has not been opened yet.
