| Star of Darkness |
Author : | David Marsh |
Publishing Details : | White Dwarf - Many years ago |
Levels / Number : | 4-6 characters of 3rd-4th Level |
Synopsis of Plot : | A dwarven artificer has teamed up with a local sage to destroy an ancient artifact called, "The Window of Peace", as they believe it is hindering progress within the area. To do this they have nearly finished the completion of a huge corrupted pentagam with the Window at its centre. The PC's happen on the scene and are enlisted to help destroy the pentagam before it can be activated. |
Good Points : | An easy adventure to slip into an existing campaign whilst still being sizable. The action takes place over several sites in the area and the PC's can be based at the local town inn. This gives a lot more scope than normal to develop the town as the PC's will be there awhile. Each of the adventure sites is quite different and allows for various plotlines to be followed. |
Bad Points : | The DM does need a bit more preparation that normal on this one as some links are a bit tenuous and need to be improved, however this is not a major problem. Also the scenario uses a new character class called Artificer, but this was published in the same magazine issue as the scenario. |
Stars out of Five : |

Other Notes : | Another excellent dungeon from White Dwarf in the days when it was a RPG magazine and not a GW advertising pamphlet. |
